Advertise with the Dropout!
A few big changes are happening with the dropout that we wanted to share with our current and potential advertisers. If you don’t know, the dropout is an independent magazine straight out of Austin, TX focused exclusively on bicycle culture. The first big change is that we have a brand spanking new website (www.dropoutzine.com). While being a printed publication is still very important to us we want out web presence to be complimentary. So that in between issue releases we can post news, events, videos, and photos that are interesting and relevant to the cycling scene. It also provides primary ad space for our advertisers ( free if you advertise with us in print!) many of you have sent us banners to post on the site but if you have not please contact us as you should absolutely take advantage of this opportunity. The second major change is that we are going to be publishing our magazine quarterly rather than every two months. This gives us a bit more time to focus on the website and work on putting out a stellar issue every time. We are still working on making the dropout bigger and better and feel that rushing the release is counterproductive to our ultimate goals. This brings us to our third and most important change. As of issue #5 we will be considered a national publication. Meaning that while we will remain Austin based, and continue to cover the cycling scene here, we are focusing our efforts outside of the Lone Star State. There is a big bad world of cycling out there and we want in! The great news about that is that your potential audience will be growing, at no additional cost! We know, it’s awesome.
