Granted, these aren’t out yet. But tires with LED lights in the kevlar itself is a great idea! They do have their patent and are in talks with manufacturers to bring these babies to the real world. It will make us more like cars in that they will always be on and never need batteries. Check out CYGLO’s site for more info and updates.
Once again Urban Velo Magazine breaks an awesome story. Of course if they lived in Texas, boobies would be totally legal. Penises, still not okay. Save the boobies!!!!!
Right in our own backyard we have one of the most talented and ingenuitive seamsters around. Russell Stinnett of Psychlist, Subversive Cycling is contstantly adding to his line, which now includes hats, patches, messenger bags, toob pads, hip pockets, holsters and pants. I hear whisperings of a backpack soon to come.
Check out Bike Snob NYC’s time in Austin. From real Mexican food to pictures of Lance in Mellow Johnny’s bathroom. He pays a little tribute to our little capital city bike scene.
Here’s a quick blurb from Tim Sanner. This looks like a really cool opportunity for anyone in the Austin area. I talked to him a few days ago and he’s looking to fill up spots for July.
I just relocated to Austin from California, and I figured the best way to meet folks would be to hold some framebuilding classes. So come hang out and build some frames with me!
In my class you will design and build a custom lugged steel bike frame that you get to take home with you. I’ve had more than 40 people take my class, and every single one of them (even the mechanically challanged) were able to build a beautiful, well aligned, structurally sound custom frame.
-We can build track frames, touring frames, road frames… pretty much whatever you want (minus a few restrictions).
-I’ve got weekend classes and weekday classes available. The weekend class is 2 weekends in a row, and the weekday class is all week (5 days). For booking check my website.
-Class is $800 BUT you can make weekly payments if that works better for you ($100 a week works fine for me).
-Please visit my website for more info, http://www.sannercycles.com and go to the “frame class” page. Apologies for typos etc. website in the works. Feel free to call or email.

The Onion Pizza, the unofficial official pizza of The Dropout, is offering a special discount for the entire month of June. Just walk in and say DROPOUT and you’ll get any slice you want for $2.00.
They have a brand new location at 5th and Brazos and they LOVE cyclists. So go in, say the magic words, and taste the best pizza downtown.
